The mother is delusional...I have one like her. When I was finally able to share the trauma of being molested by both my brothers for a whole year when I was 12 and told my mom, she hated me. She had always loved my brothers and hated me and so she didn’t want to believe her precious sons had done something so vile. She’s so vile herself she doesn’t understand that they treated me horribly because she hated me. If she hated me and abused me, well why not them too! It’s too bad that some parents are such awful people 😢

The mother and Amanda's siblings all made some comment or illuded to Amanda's moods and/or behavior over the years as being the reason they did not believe her. And we are left wondering why they cannot now understand just what was causing those moods and behavior ...... Amanda and her daughter are better off without them and their bitterness. If they accept the obvious that indeed, Amanda was being raped by her stepfather then that acceptance highlights how cruel and wrong THEY were in misjudging her for years. I hope Amanda will find peace now in moving forward with her life within her own loving family. And I hope God forgives the rest of them.
